Next debut at Nürburgring

Season 2016 is full of surprising adventures for Yannik Brandt. Next weekend the rookie enters his first race ever at the tradition-rich Nürburgring. After a successful performance in Austria two weeks ago, the German driver wants to make a further step in his development and find himself in a Top-Ten position.

The ADAC Formula 4 finally starts its second part of the season two weeks ago at Red Bull-Ring. Youngster Yannik Brandt delivered another presentable performance and was one of the fastest newcomers. During the free practice he based himself in the Top-Ten and was really confident: „For me it is good to see that my hard work finally pays off. Every single race helped me to improve myself as a driver.“

Finally he will celebrate his debut at Nürburgring. The charge of Lechner Racing Team looking forward to his first ever race at the 3.629 meters long circuit at Eifel. „The Nürburgring has a really rich history and long tradition. It is really one of the most famous tracks in the world. I am very proud to be a part in this competition and will try to enjoy it. Of course the most important goal for me this weekend is to underline my qualities ones again“, states the 15 year old racer.

In his first year as a participant in ADAC Formula 4, the German wants to gain a lot of experience and showed a terrific development during the last time. He already is one of the best newcomers and now wants to reach a place under the best ten drivers. In Oschersleben and Spielberg before, Yannik Brandt already demonstrated his power and was nearby – now he thinks it is time to make the next step forward.

The sports channels Sport 1 and Sport 1 + broadcast the event at Nürburging live on TV. There is also a live-stream on the internet at www.sport1.de. The live broadcast on Saturday starts at 14:30 and on Sunday the finals will be shown at 10:15 and 14:45.
