FIVE SWISS DRIVERS AT THE WORLD FINAL

This year 5 Swiss pilots got the opportunity to represent Switzerland in the final of the world’s best drivers in Valencia.

Between November 22nd and 29th they fight for the crown against 280 other drivers. 56 countries send pilots in the 4 categories: Junior (13-15 years), Senior (15+ years), DD2 (2-shift, 15+ years) and DD2 Master (2-shift, 32+ years).

Each category uses identical material and the pilots draw their kart with a standardized Rotax engine which they use for the whole race event. This race modus is unique and it guarantees equal chances for each driver.

The 14-year old Yannik Brandt from Forch/CH did qualify for the category Junior. The champion in the Swiss Rotax Max Challenge showed a staggering performance during the season. The Seniors are represented by the 18 years old Nikolaj Rogivue from Kilchberg/CH, winner of the national championship.

This year, the DD2 category is represented by 2 pilots, Kevin Lüdi and Damian Frizzi.

The most experienced among the drivers are the DD2 Masters with a minimum age of 32 years. The 34 years old Andreas Brändli from Wollishofen/ZH represents the Swiss flag in Valencia
